Ryan Curtis is an Ithaca NY based visionary artist whos art begins with the intention to do the work of spirit – loving and honoring source creation, humanity and sacred life. Ryan’s work is presently born of experiments with drawing, photography, dreaming, digital collage, envisioning, alternative printmaking, prayer, mixed media painting and psychedelic shamanistic airbrush body painting. Ryan’s visual work is often inspired by sound; he is a singer/songwriter and has played guitar and keyboard with many wonderful musicians in a handful of bands and improvisational settings and ceremonies. He believes that sound interacts directly with spirit- and spirit in turn dances with sound. Ryan encourages us to lift our hearts and sing our heart songs. Ryan is currently working as a freelance graphic designer on several album covers and is making and selling paintings as they are inspired or commissioned. He is building a repertoire of techniques that will be employed in illustrating his poem and children’s book “You’ve Got the Universe in Your Hands” due to be completed and released in 2012. Ryan is available for select design work and art commissions – especially when they are aligned with his deeper intentions.
